CoDriver Terms of Use

Effective 7 October 2026

These terms apply to the CoDriver app for Android and iOS (“the app”), published by AppHero OÜ, Estonia (“we”). By using the app you agree to them. Contact: siim@apphero.ee.

1. What the app does

CoDriver speaks rally-style pacenotes (“150 long left 4 minus, tightens 3”) for the road ahead. The notes are generated automatically from map data (OpenStreetMap) and elevation data. Nobody has driven or checked the road for you.

2. Drive safely: you are responsible

3. Competition and closed-road use

The app is made for driving on public roads within the law. Do not use it in a rally, race, regularity event, reconnaissance or any other competition, or on a closed road or track, without the permission of the event's organiser, and follow the event's regulations. The notes are not the event's official documents.

4. Free during early access

The app is currently free and has no account. We may later offer paid features; nothing will be charged without you choosing to buy it through Google Play or the App Store, and these terms will then describe how it works.

5. Third-party data and services

The app relies on these services and data:

ProviderWhat it provides
OpenStreetMap contributorsRoad and map data, © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the Open Database License
OpenFreeMapMap and road tiles
GraphHopperRouting and place search
openrouteservice (HeiGIT)Routing when GraphHopper fails
IGN / Géoplateforme, Maa- ja Ruumiamet, BEV, Province of Bolzano – South Tyrol, GPXZElevation data
Google FirebaseOur elevation service, video streaming, usage statistics, crash reports, update checks
YouTubeEmbedded onboard videos, under YouTube's Terms of Service

We do not control these services and cannot promise their data is correct, complete or always available. What data each one receives is described in the Privacy Policy. Onboard videos remain the property of their owners and are credited in the app.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app: do not interfere with its services, extract or resell its data or services in bulk, reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it for anything unlawful.

7. Availability and changes

The app is in early access and is developed continuously. We may add, change or remove features, regions and stages. We aim to keep the app and its services available but cannot promise they will always be uninterrupted or error-free; without network some features (place search, routing, new notes) do not work.

8. No warranty and liability

The app and its notes are provided as they are, without any warranty that they are accurate, complete, up to date or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from inaccurate, late or missing notes or routes, from traffic offences, fines or penalties, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for intent or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its effective date. If you keep using the app after a change, the updated terms apply.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Estonian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and may bring a claim in its courts.
